🇺🇸 Honoring the Brave: Remembering Our Fallen Heroes 🇺🇸
Today, on the last Monday of May, we observe Memorial Day—a sacred federal holiday dedicated to honoring and mourning the ultimate sacrifice of the U.S. military personnel who died while serving in our Armed Forces.
While Veterans Day is a time to celebrate all living military veterans, today is exclusively set aside to remember those who never made it home.
A Brotherhood of Service
Many of our own brothers and sisters in the fire service, alongside our loved ones and family members, have proudly and valiantly served our great country. Some of them made the ultimate sacrifice so that we could live in the freedom we enjoy today.
One single day is surely not enough to express the depth of gratitude we owe to them... we should honor them every single day.
Our Promise to Them
How do we truly pay tribute to a debt we can never repay?
By remembering their names and keeping their stories alive.
By loving one another and supporting the communities they died to protect.
By doing our part to make the dream of this country become the reality our forefathers envisioned.
Today, as we spend time with family and enjoy the freedoms we've been given, let us pause, reflect, and give thanks. To our fallen brothers, sisters, and heroes: You are not forgotten.

BK, was a great man, a great firefighter and a great friend. Our Brother will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace, we love you brother.

Bobby Kilduff was one of our best.

For 24 years, Bobby proudly served the people of Boston as a fire fighter, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. He was a Marine, a Jake through and through, and part of a family dedicated to serving others – on and off the job. The Kilduff name means something in Boston and in our union.

Bobby made the ultimate sacrifice last night battling an aggressive 3-alarm fire in Dorchester. Through the efforts of Bobby and others on scene, all five residents made it out safely, and the fire was kept from spreading to adjacent homes.

BK loved the job and our city, but more than anything, he loved his kids – Mason and Hanna Jane. Please keep them, his family and friends, and our Local 718 brothers and sisters, in your prayers.

I want to offer my deepest condolences to our brothers and sisters in Jefferson Parish. We're here if you need anything.

I remember being there on a field trip that day.

On this day in 1988, flames tore through the historic Cabildo in the heart of the French Quarter, destroying the roof and much of the third floor. bit.ly/4d4sepg?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook_WWLTV

During , take steps to protect your skin.

Tennessee’s first responders need your support!

Senate Bill 1900 is a critical piece of legislation that strengthens penalties for those who assault firefighters, paramedics, and other emergency personnel while they are on duty. Every day, our members respond to unpredictable, high-risk situations to protect the public. They should never have to face violence without strong protections in place.

This bill is about accountability. It is about safety. And it is about making it clear that Tennessee stands with those who serve on the front lines.

We are calling on all members of the General Assembly to take action and pass SB1900/HB2428.

Protecting first responders should not be a partisan issue. It is a public safety priority. When you protect those who respond to emergencies, you are protecting every community across this state.

Stand with Tennessee’s fire service.
Pass SB1900/HB2428.
