The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the Eastern sections of Bergen County starting at 2pm today through 4am Tuesday!
Strong winds are likely this afternoon into tonight. South winds of 15-30mph with gusts of 40-50mph are likely. Isolated gusts could reach 55mph.
Impacts of scattered downed tree limbs as well as isolated downed trees and power lines are possible.

Winter Storm Feb 22-23 unofficially named Hernando

The snow fall has begun and will continue untill dinner time on Monday. It can fall at a fast rate, somewhere aound 1-2" per hour. This snow will be heavy and wet so please be careful. Winds can reach blizzards like conditions of 40-50 mph and can cause whiteout conditions makeing driving even more dangerous.

Help yourselves:
Stay off of the roads so the DPW can do their job.
There is NO parking on snow covered Roads
Check on Neighbors, Friends and elderly

Do NOT throw snow back into the street
Clear 3 ft around all fire hydrants
Clear sidewalks and all street/sidewalk entrances

Call POLICE ONLY for true emergencies
Report all pole and wires down to PSE&G directly 1800 436-7734
