๐Ÿ’Š National Prescription Drug Take Back Day
Join us for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, a free and anonymous event to safely dispose of unused or expired medications.
Hosted by the DEA, this nationwide initiative takes place twice a year and plays a vital role in protecting our communities.
โœ… Why it matters:
๐Ÿ”น Prevent Drug Misuse: Many who misuse prescription drugs obtain them from home medicine cabinets. Safe disposal helps keep these medications out of the wrong hands.
๐Ÿ”น Protect Public Health: Reduces the risk of accidental poisoning, overdose, and substance abuse.
๐Ÿ”น Protect the Environment: Flushing or throwing medications in the trash can pollute our water and harm wildlife. Take Back Day ensures proper, eco-friendly disposal.
๐Ÿ“ Please bring any prescription drugs to the New Milford Police Department and dispose of them in our medication drop box, located in our lobby!
