The fire danger for New Milford on (06/11/2026) is at HIGH in New Milford. ABSOLUTELY NO BURNING IS ALLOWED IN NEW MILFORD TODAY, EVEN WITH A VALID PERMIT.

From CT DEEP: "Chance of showers and thunderstorms today, tonight and tomorrow. Localized heavy downpours will be
possible with higher chance of a wetting rain tonight through Friday with those showers and thunderstorms. Precip totals on average are forecast to be more localized than wide spread and a
1/4inch or less. High humidity and residual moisture will reduce ignition potential and rates of spread both considered to be low to very low today. However duff layer/ organic soil is readily available statewide and heavy fuels are moderately available in most areas. Any ignition that occurs has high potential to smolder until the next day that supports fire spread or the next soaking rain. Extended forecast is showing fine fuels will support fire moderate to high rates of spread Saturday & Sunday."
