Olivia Marsan is a recipient of the 2023 New Milford Police Union Leadership Scholarship Award. She will be attending Siena College in the fall and plans to major in Psychology and also participate in the 3+2 Law Program.

Olivia has been a four year member of the NMHS Varsity Swim Team (Captain in Senior Year), two year member of the National Honor Society (Team Leader), two year member of the Spanish Honor Society, Volunteer for two local 10U Softball teams, three year volunteer archery instructor at the Clatter Valley Day Camp, is a certified level one archery instructor and has played four years on a local travel softball team.

Nicole Reiske is a recipient of the 2023 New Milford Police Union Leadership Scholarship Award. She will be attending Southern Connecticut State University in the fall and plans to major in Social Work.

Nicole has been a four year member of the Students Against Destructive Decisions, where she served as Club President. She was also a three year member of the NMHS Swim and Dive team, where she was the Assistant Captain. She has been involved in ceramics and poetry and was the recipient of a National Exhibition Winner in 2019 and 2021.

Also, during her high school career she has worked part time at the Party Depot, retail and as swim teacher.

Nicholas Carroccio is a recipient of the 2023 New Milford Police Union Leadership Scholarship Award. He will be attending Central Connecticut State University in the fall and plans to major in Political Science and minor in Communications.

Nicholas has been a New Milford Police Department Youth Cadet since 2020, where he earned a medal in a station’s day event. He has also been involved in the “Catch a Lift” program since 2018, Push Against Cancer Fundraiser since 2019 and a Wingman Leader for the Wingman Movement Program since 2021.

Also, during his high school career he has worked as a dog walker, house sitter and a dishwasher at a local restaurant.

Jennifer Lima Ferreira is a recipient of the 2023 New Milford Police Union Leadership Scholarship Award. She will be attending the University of Connecticut in the fall and plans to major in Environmental Engineering and Computer Science.

Jennifer was a three year member of the NMHS Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), where she was the Vice President in her Senior Year, Media Manager in her Junior Year, a Nationals Qualifier in all three years, Sophomore Year Statewide Third Place Winner (Website Design), Junior Year Second Place Winner (Digital Video Production), Media Manager, Senior Year Statewide Second Place Winner (E-Business). She was a two year member of the Spanish Honor Society and served as the Historian and Secretary. Two year member of the National Honor Society and served as an Advisory Board Member. Two year member of the Math Honor Society, Yearbook Club, two year competitor in the New England Math League, four year member of the Indoor Track & Field Team, three year member of the Outdoor Track & Field Team, where she served as Captain in Senior Year and a two member of the Soccer team.

Also, during her high school career she has worked part time at Maggie McFly’s, as a busser and waitress.

DJ Hassiak is a recipient of the 2023 New Milford Police Union Leadership Scholarship Award. He will be attending the University of California - San Diego in the fall and plans to major in Computer Science.

DJ has been a 2 year member of the NMHS Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), Math Honors Society (2 years), The Haunted Trail (2 years) and the Model UN Club (2 years). In 2022 he received the FBLA Business Communication Award and the Sacred Heart Book Award.

Also, during his high school career he has worked as a substitute teacher.

Breanna Robles is a recipient of the 2023 New Milford Police Union Criminal Justice Scholarship Award. She will be attending Rutgers University in the fall and plans to major in Criminal Justice.

Breanna has been a 2 year member of the Key Club and most recently served as the Vice President. She has also been a member of the Executive Club at NMHS.

Also, during her high school career she has worked part time at River and Rail as a Barista, Iron Rail, Yoko Kitchen and 1 Twenty Two.
