In Loving Memory of Captain Perry Gleitz
The Town Council and the entire community of New Middletown are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Captain Perry Gleitz.

On behalf of the Town Council, we wish to extend our most profound and heartfelt sympathies to the Gleitz family, Perry’s friends, and his brothers and sisters at the New Middletown Fire Department. We share in your grief as we mourn the loss of not just a dedicated public servant, but a truly great man.

A Legacy of Service

Captain Gleitz’s commitment to our town was nothing short of extraordinary. With 44 years of selfless service, he was a cornerstone of the New Middletown Fire Department.

Decades of Bravery:

Perry stood on the front lines for nearly half a century, protecting our homes and our lives.

A True Mentor:

Known as "one of the good ones," his leadership and experience helped shape generations of firefighters.

Community Pillar:

His presence was a constant source of security and pride for our residents.

Our Deepest Gratitude
Words cannot fully capture the debt of gratitude we owe Captain Gleitz. He dedicated his life to the safety of others, embodying the very best of what it means to be a neighbor and a hero. New Middletown is a safer, better place because of his tireless work and unwavering spirit.

"To serve one's community for 44 years is a rare and noble achievement. Captain Gleitz didn't just hold a position; he fulfilled a calling."

We ask that everyone in our community keep the Gleitz family and our Fire Department members in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. We stand with you in honoring a life exceptionally well-lived.

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that the New Middletown Town Board acknowledges the passing of a pillar of our community, Fred Lawson. On behalf of the entire town government and the citizens we serve, we offer our most sincere and deepest condolences to the Lawson family and to all who were fortunate enough to call him a friend.
Fred’s legacy is woven into the very fabric of New Middletown. For more than 20 years, he dedicated himself to the service of others with a spirit of selflessness that defined his character. His efforts over two decades were not merely about the tasks he performed, but about the heart he poured into every project, meeting, and neighborly gesture. The positive impact of his service has left an indelible mark on our town—one that will be felt for generations to come.
The loss we feel today is truly profound. Fred was more than a public servant; he was a constant, reliable presence whose commitment to the betterment of our community set a standard for us all. His absence leaves a void in our town that cannot easily be filled, but his memory will continue to inspire us to serve New Middletown with the same passion and integrity he displayed every day.
To the Lawson family: please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this incredibly difficult time. We share in your grief, and we stand with you in honoring the life of a man who gave so much to the place we call home.
With deepest sympathy,
The New Middletown Town Board

On behalf of the Town Council, I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who helped transform our community park into a beautiful winter wonderland this season.
We specifically want to recognize the Lions Club and the New Middletown Volunteer Fire Department. Your dedication, time, and hard work were essential in bringing the holiday spirit to life for our residents. It is community partnerships like these that make New Middletown such a wonderful place to call home.
We also want to extend a special note of appreciation to Rhonda Wiseman. Thank you for your outstanding personal efforts and dedication to this project; your contribution played a vital role in making this year's display a success.
To every individual volunteer who untangled lights, hung decorations, and braved the cold to make this happen: thank you. Your efforts have created a festive atmosphere that will be enjoyed by families and visitors throughout the holiday season.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all.
