We respectfully ask, per the family’s request, that any neighboring fire departments that are able assist us in honoring one of our own.

For the upcoming funeral services of our fallen firefighter, we would greatly appreciate departments bringing apparatus to help line the procession route or stand in tribute. Your presence would mean a great deal to our department, the family, and the community.

Services will be held this Friday at Ingram Funeral Home in St. Marys, WV. Please arrive around 1:30 PM, with services beginning at 2:00 PM.

Thank You

With deepest sympathy we regret to announce the passing of Firefighter James Addlesburger.

Their dedication to this department and our community will never be forgotten. James spent decades helping others and answering every call when needed. Please keep their family and loved ones in your thoughts during this difficult time.

Rest In Peace,
We will take it from here

Fireman’s Prayer
When I am called to duty, God
whenever flames may rage,
Give me the strength to save some life
Whatever be its age.
Help me to embrace a little child
Before it’s too late,
Or some older person
from the horror of that fate.
Enable me to be alert
And hear the weakest shout,
And quickly and efficiently
to put the fire out.
I want to fill my calling
and give the best in me,
To guard my neighbor
And protect his property.
And if according to Your will
I have to lose my life,
Please bless with Your protecting hand
My children and my wife.

This past weekend, members of Grandview Twp Vfd took part in vehicle extrication training alongside Matamoras Emergency Squad and Newport Volunteer Fire Dept. The joint training focused on teamwork, communication, and hands-on practice with modern rescue tools to safely remove victims from crashed vehicles. Crews worked through multiple simulated accident scenarios, sharpening their skills and improving coordination between fire and EMS personnel. Training like this ensures that when real emergencies happen, all departments are ready to respond quickly and effectively to help save lives.

🚒🔥 New Truck Alert – Welcome T-6! 🔥🚒
Grandview Township VFD is proud to announce the arrival of our brand new 3,400-gallon tanker – T-6!

This impressive unit will be in service soon, and it's a major upgrade for our department — boosting our ability to deliver water quickly and efficiently, especially in areas without hydrants. T-6 gives us the capacity, reliability, and performance we need to better serve our community.

🙏 A special thank you to Hélie Camions Incendie Inc. - Helie Fire Trucks Inc. for building this outstanding piece of equipment. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail truly show, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the final product.

We’re incredibly thankful to our township officials, community members, local businesses, and all our supporters who help make progress like this possible. From passing the fire levy to attending fundraisers and sharing words of encouragement, your continued support is what keeps us moving forward.

💧🚒 Stronger. Faster. Ready.

September 11, 2001 — Never Forget

Today, we pause to honor the lives lost and the countless heroes who answered the call on one of the darkest days in our nation's history.

We especially remember the 343 firefighters, along with police officers, EMTs, and everyday citizens, who gave everything to save others. Their bravery, sacrifice, and service will never be forgotten.

As a volunteer fire department, we stand on their shoulders and carry their spirit with us every day — serving our community with courage, commitment, and heart.

🕯️ We will never forget. We will always remember.
