Meet Dewey the Library Fairy! Find the Fairy Door on Saturday June 27th during Downtown New Martinsville's Fairy Day!

Deep within the shelves of the New Martinsville Public Library lives a tiny fairy named Dewey. While most fairies collect flowers or shiny treasures, Dewey collects stories!

Each night, after the library closes, Dewey flutters through the aisles checking that every book is tucked safely into its proper home. Dewey sprinkles a little fairy dust on books waiting to be discovered and leaves tiny sparks of imagination between the pages.

Dewey's favorite things are dinosaur adventures, magical tales, cozy reading nooks, and helping young readers find their next favorite book. Some say that when you open the perfect book at just the right moment, Dewey might have had something to do with it!

If you visit the library, keep your eyes open. You may spot a glittery footprint, a tiny bookmark, or a bit of fairy dust nearby. That means Dewey has been hard at work helping stories find their readers.

Remember: Every book holds a little magic, and every reader helps that magic grow!

πŸš—βœ¨ A Big Thank You to the City of New Martinsville! βœ¨πŸš—

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the City of New Martinsville for recently repainting the parking lot lines at the library.

This was a much-needed improvement, and we're grateful for the city's continued support of our library and community. Fresh, clearly marked parking spaces not only make our property look great, but they also help improve safety, organization, and accessibility for everyone who visits.

Small improvements like these make a big difference in creating a welcoming and accessible space for our patrons of all ages.

Thank you to the city crews and everyone involved in helping keep our community spaces looking their best. We appreciate your hard work and partnership! πŸ’šπŸ“š
