Good afternoon folks! We are excited to announce an extra program for our annual children's Summer Reading here at JCPL! On June 30, we are welcoming two guests this year. The Luminary Theatre will be performing from 2-2:45 pm, and we have added an extra guest from 3-4 pm. Sherry Locke will be here showcasing her expertise with reptile rehabilitation and appreciation, complete with a few snakes and even a bearded lizard! Since we do have two guests in the building that day, we will forego the weekly prize drawing so that we can learn a little more about reptiles, and of the great work that Sherry and her sister are doing to protect these animals! We will meet in the large Conference Hall for both programs. We hope to see you there!

Our annual Summer Reading Program kicks off with a carnival on Tuesday, May 26 from 2-4 pm with a variety of activities for our guests to enjoy!

We are asking that the kids bring/wear something that can get wet, as the Fire Department will have a swim tank set up as well as the obstacle course. This should be a super fun time! If you have any questions about the kickoff event, please feel free to contact us at 865-475-9094.
