*** Update February 5, 2026, 9:05PM:
Gentry Hills tank is still improving, but slowly. Crews have checked that water is in the lines in the neighboring vicinity, but pressure is still low while the tank continues to fill. The city will look into options for reducing the time to refill this tank. Customers still negatively impacted by the Gentry Hills tank can pick up cases of water at the intersection of N. Hwy 92 and Easley Rd. next to Echo Valley Farm starting at 9AM tomorrow morning. Coordination with JCEMA helped us source water and locate this access point with the property owner. We appreciate the assistance from JCEMA and the volunteers helping with this distribution point while supplies last.
We are still expecting the delivery of our emergency membrane tomorrow midday. Our crews will immediately begin the process of replacing the membrane that is the most degraded in output. This is a lengthy process that will go through the night into Saturday. We expect this replacement membrane to be placed into production by Saturday afternoon, if not sooner. We do expect tank levels to drop as we take the old membrane offline. Our team is monitoring closely and will be in close communication with NMUD and SGUD. Members of Tennessee Association of Utility Districts will be on hand for any technical assistance, if needed.
Again, our Parks and Recreation Department has opened up the Community Center for showering needs.
