MLP is aware of an outage effecting the middle part of town. Crews have been dispatched to diagnosis the issue.

New Madrid Municipal Light & Power will have a scheduled outage beginning at midnight of Monday, August 31st/Tuesday, September 1st. The outage is necessary as we bring a substation online

The outage is expected to last approximately 30 minutes.

We understand that even a short outage can be an inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience as we complete this important work to continually upgrade our electric system.

If anything changes with this schedule, we will notify the public at that time.

Thank you for your understanding.
(Outages such as these must be completed at midnight on the first day of the month for load and metering purposes.)

10:20 - Power has been restored to the affected areas.

A guy wire was struck by a vehicle in the area of Riley Street, causing damage to equipment and electrical wires to touch one another. This has led to a power outage in the area around north Scott Street. Crews have been dispatched to make the necessary repairs. Thank you.

We will turning off a circuit that will effect parts of Bloomfield Rd., and areas along 61 Hwy from Bloomfield Rd. to the overpass to make a repair.

Electric Department is making repairs from debris blow into power lines due to the high winds. We hope to have power restored soon.

Last week Travis passed the Missouri Department of Natural Resources Wastewater Treatment Level D Exam! Travis received a score of 98 out of 100 on this very difficult exam. @1:47PM. Power should now be restored to all areas. Outage was due to a bad connector on a jumper wire.

@1:40PM. The issue has been discovered. To safely complete the repairs, certain areas have now been intentionally de-energized for a period of time. These temporary outages are necessary to protect both crews and the public while work is being completed.

MLP is aware of a small power outage effecting some residents in the areas of Davis, Scott, and Riley Streets. Crews have been dispatched to locate the source of the issue. Updates will be provided when available.
