This morning, we had the honor of escorting The Vietnam Moving Wall from Shields to Chesaning Showboat Park.

Hazelton Fire, along with many other area fire departments, are participating in the annual Montrose Blueberry Parade. Be sure to wave if you see us out and about!

Hazelton Fire is providing fire coverage at the Shiawassee County Fair with Venice Fire and Twin Twp Ambulance. If you’re out at the fair, stop by the public safety building and say hi! As always, we have fire crews in New Lothrop as well.

***The Burn Ban for Hazelton Township and the Village of New Lothrop has been lifted***

Burn permits are required for any burning other than small recreational fires.

***The Burn Ban for Hazelton Township and the Village of New Lothrop has been lifted***

Burn permits are required for any burning other than small recreational fires.

Due to the extremely dry conditions and the lack of adequate rainfall in the weather forecast, a Burn Ban is now in effect for Hazelton Township and the Village of New Lothrop.

Small campfires no more the 36 inches in diameter, burning seasoned firewood, will be allowed. Please have an adequate water source nearby and do not leave such fires unattended.

The burning of yard waste is prohibited while the burn ban is in place.

We will be completing our yearly hose testing in the high school parking lot tomorrow. There will still be access to all doors of the high school and the parking lot via the west entrance.
