The recent rain has filled the ditches and water is making its way to the roads. Please be careful when traveling especially in the following areas pictured:

16th Avenue between Germantown G and 15th This gravel road is fully covered.

20th Avenue
41st Street
The corner of 19th and 43rd.

Portions of these roads have standing water. Watch for signs and/or barriers.

Because of tomorrow’s forecast the town hall office will be closed.

Craig began working on the roads at 2:00 a.m. and is now, at 7:45 p.m., calling it a night. He will be back out early tomorrow morning, working to make sure that those who must be out are able to get around. Continued thanks for your patience and understanding.

What we also know is this will be a long weather system moving through and we are still down a plow driver.

As with the last storm we are asking for patience and understanding with the time it will take to get the roads plowed. Our driver will work hard to keep the roads open but will need to take time over the next few days to rest too so he is not a danger to himself or others. Though the roads will be slippery, the use of salt and sand will be minimal allowing it to weigh down the truck so it can go up inclines, not slide off the road, and keep plowing the snow.

And as always, we are looking for plow truck drivers with a CDL and clean driving record.

Thank you in advance for your patience while the roads are being cleared tomorrow. We are down a snowplow driver so things will take longer than normal.

As always, we are looking for plow drivers. A CDL and clean driving record are required. Previous experience is a plus!

The brush dump will be closed until March 15 to allow heavy equipment to do a “deep clean” after several years of brush grinding, to work with the stockpile of sand, and continue expansion efforts.

The brush dump will be closed December 1-13 to allow heavy equipment to come in and dispose of the contents.
