It was my pleasure to present a donation to Cheryl Dodson and the team at Dodsons on Broadway to support their efforts and provide meals for those displaced by the recent flooding and for the first responders serving our community.

This donation was made on behalf of DJ Boyer Family Farms of Thornville. This farm has been in my husband, Bryan’s family for over a century. Thank you to Janet Boyer, Jackie and Mark Schallip, Kristi and Marc Mick, Dawn Storts and Brad Boyer, and my amazing husband, Bryan Boyer, for all of their generosity and commitment to helping our neighbors.

What a wonderful evening we had at the annual Holy Trinity Alumni Dinner! It was great to catch up with my fellow alumni, share some memories of our time together, and enjoy some great food.

I was happy to spend time with my fellow alumna Carolyn (Hudak) Carnes and to celebrate my sister, Carol (Sterner) Krofft, as she marked her golden anniversary of graduating from Holy Trinity. It was lovely to see so many of our classmates reconnecting this year. 💕🎓

Small Business Administration Disaster Assistance Session

Dear Chamber Members,

As our communities continue to recover from the recent flooding, we want to make sure local businesses are aware of the disaster recovery resources and assistance available to them.

The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce and Perry County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), are hosting an SBA Disaster Recovery Resources Information Session for businesses impacted by the flooding.

When?

- Friday, September 4
- 10:00–11:00 a.m.
- EagleSticks Golf Club

Attendees will hear directly from SBA representatives about available disaster recovery resources, the application process, and steps businesses can take to seek assistance.

This session is open to all businesses in Muskingum, Perry, and surrounding county businesses affected by the flooding are encouraged to attend, even if they are unsure whether they qualify for assistance or do not have flood insurance.

Even if your business was not directly impacted, we ask that you please help us spread the word. Share this information with fellow businesses, employees, customers, or anyone in your network who may have been affected and could benefit from these resources.

The Multi-Agency Resource Center continues to provide a central location for individuals and families affected by the recent flooding to connect with agencies and organizations that can provide assistance and valuable resources.

The Hopewell United Methodist Church Ice Cream Social never disappoints, from homemade food and desserts to Weldon’s ice cream, there was something for everybody! It was a great time supporting this local tradition with fellow members of our community. 🥧🍰

I enjoyed attending the Thornville United Methodist Church Back-to-School Community Dinner this month and it was great to see a nice turnout from our Perry County community. It was a pleasure to welcome Congressman Troy Balderson to the Perry County Courthouse! We had the opportunity to show him the Common Pleas Court and county offices following our recent renovations. Thank you to Commissioners Chase Bennett and Ben Carpenter, along with some members of the County Commissioners Association, for joining us for this visit! ⚖️
