David Kunkler retired in 2008 from New Lexington schools. He taught History, Greek, Latin, and Mythology!
In 2009 he started his weekly lunch outing at Fairview Assisted Living, where one lucky resident gets to pick where they’d like to have lunch.
During his free time Mr.Kunkler enjoys painting and writing. He has written 3 books and donated a picture that he painted of our wonderful building.
For 17 years Mr. Kunkler has showed up every week, and he continues to this day to show up for our residents.

Yesterday a few of our residents took part in the local Recovery Games, which helped raise money for our Christmas Club. This provides funds so we can provide a great Christmas for each of our residents every year. We’re so blessed to be a part of this little town. 😌

We started Memorial Day weekend off with a road trip to Dawes Arboretum for a picnic, then went on to Utica for the 50th annual ice cream festival. 🍦
Was a rainy weekend but we didn’t let that stop us.

A big thank you to Michael Steele for donating 8 flats of strawberries to our residents at Fairview! Michael is a senior Agriculture student and FFA member at New Lexington High School and will be attending The Ohio State University this fall. He has generously donated strawberries to us the past couple of years and our residents always appreciate the sweet treat. Thank you, Michael, for continuing to think of Fairview and our residents!🍓
