⚠️ HIGH WATER ADVISORY ⚠️

The Perry County Sheriff’s Office is urging all residents to use extreme caution following recent storms that have caused high water and flooding throughout the county. Multiple roadways may be covered with water, washed out, or unsafe for travel.

Remember: “Turn Around, Don’t Drown.”

Flood waters are often deeper and more dangerous than they appear. Just a small amount of moving water can sweep a vehicle off the roadway and place lives at risk.

Residents are reminded that under Ohio law, it is illegal to drive around barricades or through flooded roadways.

Please slow down, avoid unnecessary travel during heavy rain, and use alternate routes when high water is present.

Your destination is not worth your life.
