🎒📚 Welcome back, Perry County students! 💙

As another school year gets underway, our Perry JFS School Outreach Unit is ready to support students and families throughout the year! Our School Outreach Unit currently has caseworkers, Alli Shiplett, Steph Jackson and Rikki Wilson, in four Perry County elementary schools: New Lexington School District, Millcreek (Southern Local Schools), Glenford, and Crooksville EV Schools.

From social-emotional learning groups and one-on-one support to hygiene items, school supplies, and other needs, our caseworkers are there to help students feel supported and set up for success. They also work with families to help create a healthy, supportive environment for students. Any student can receive support or join a group when available, and teachers and school staff can also make referrals.

We’re excited for a great school year and can’t wait to share more of the great things our School Outreach Unit is doing! 💙✏️

💚 Wrapping Up Child Support Awareness Month

As August comes to a close, we want to extend a heartfelt thank‑you to our community, partners, and everyone who helped us raise awareness all month long. To wrap up the month, we want to highlight our Child Support Team one last time. Located at the Opportunity Center, they assist families with establishing paternity, setting up and modifying support orders, and ensuring payments are processed accurately. Their work helps create stability, promote responsibility, and ensure children receive the support they deserve. It’s been great sharing more about our Child Support team this month. We’re so thankful for the work they do every day, and grateful to our community for helping us raise awareness.

A special thank-you to our Perry County Commissioners for wearing green this month and showing their support for Child Support Awareness Month. 💚 We’re especially grateful for their leadership in passing a resolution recognizing the importance of child support and for the many ways they continue to support our agency and community.
