CRIME ALERT: Between Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 8:00PM and Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at 6:00AM, the North Fuls Road neighborhood had unlocked vehicles gone through and items taken. If you are a resident in that area, check your vehicles, then check your cameras. If you have footage of anyone walking up to your vehicle and trying the handles, let us know by calling our dispatch center at 937-687-3080. We can get you a QR code or a website to upload the footage so we can hopefully identify the person(s) responsible.

Your NLPD officers patrol the roads of the village 24/7. When not on a call for service or traffic post, we roll through your streets in an effort to prevent crime. If criminals see cruisers throughout the village, they are less likely to see New Lebanon as a target.

We need your help. Please do not keep valuables in your unlocked vehicles, or let your garage 'air-out' overnight by keeping the garage door open, or leave important items in your yard without direct supervision.

We all have a hand in making New Lebanon a caring and sharing community. Thank you for being great neighbors and friends to each other by helping identify those doing harm in our village.

The Ohio Special Olympics Summer Games take place May 29 through May 31, 2026 on the Columbus campus of THE Ohio State University. Opening ceremonies begin at 7PM. Part of those ceremonies include the lighting of the Special Olympics flame from the torches carried from every corner of the Buckeye State.

On Thursday, May 28, 2026, NLPD Detective Dyan Thomas teamed up with area motor units from Oakwood PD, Dayton PD, OSHP, Beavercreek PD, Kettering PD, and Montgomery County Sheriff's Office to es**rt and protect the runners carrying the Ohio Special Olympics torch on their 12-mile journey from Centerville PD to the Dayton Safety Building.

We are proud to support such a great cause alongside our fellow agencies! Your NLPD officers wish all participants the best as they compete!

Your NLPD was honored to assist with the National Veterans Awareness Organization’s motorcycle ride as it passed through the Buckeye State. The annual ride runs from Sacramento, California to Washington D.C., and this past Wednesday and Thursday, the ride passed through Ohio. Along the way, the riders visit VA hospitals, lay wreaths at memorial ceremonies, and visit schools to talk about giving back to their communities.

As an Air Force veteran and the daughter of an Army veteran who served in Vietnam, Detective Thomas understands the mission of the NVAO - dedicated to remembering, honoring, and supporting veterans and those currently serving in all branches of the military. She has similarly assisted the NVAO ride in previous years during the lead-up to Memorial Day weekend. Action photos were captured from a motorcyle-mounted camera (safety first!).

Other local assisting agencies include the Brookville PD and FD, the Ross County Sheriff’s Office motor units and support crew, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office motor unit, and the Chillicothe VA PD motor unit. Thanks also goes to the Ohio NVAO Ride coordinator Tony “Squirt” Cunningham Sr.
