C & S Safety Systems of La. is looking for a detail-oriented problem-solver to join our team as a Fire System Technician.

The ideal candidate will be installing & maintaining a range of fire alarm systems, suppression systems, explosion proof (EP) systems, etc; analyzing blueprints & plans; finding & repairing any malfunctions.

To ensure success as a technician, candidate should demonstrate excellent communication & interpersonal skills, knowledge of safety codes & regulations, and experience with a variety of fire systems.

🔷Responsibilities Include:

Maintaining fire alarm, detection, notification, & reporting systems

Diagnose, repair, & perform scheduled Preventative Maintenance on existing fire systems in accordance with the PM Program, NFPA & manufacturer's guidelines

Ensures proper installation and/or function of electronic aspects of fire systems on maintenance & construction projects

Traveling to customer locations throughout Louisiana, as well as the southern Gulf Region on occasion.

Reading, understanding, & following product manuals.

Writing service & status reports.

Testing all features & equipment to ensure optimum functioning of systems.

🔷Fire Technician Requirements:

****La. State Fire Marshal Life Safety & Property Protection License with the following endorsements: Fire Alarm; Fixed Fire Suppression; Fire Extinguishers & Hoses****

Track record for excellent customer service

Fire Systems experience (alarm; suppression; EP)

Maintains accurate & thorough documentation of hours worked, tasks performed, materials used

Valid Driver's License

Willingness to work on-call after hours and on weekends

C & S Safety Systems of La, LLC is currently seeking a motivated, punctual, & detail-oriented Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to join our team in our New Iberia, LA office.

----Essential Job Functions----

**Must have the ability to successfully and positively communicate with customers, members of other departments, peers, and vendors.

**Receive all incoming phone calls in a pleasant manner. Provide callers with information and/or route calls to appropriate personnel, & take detailed messages when necessary.

**Greet all incoming guests

**Receive and sort all incoming mail & some deliveries

**Perform administrative and clerical duties

**Keep track of office supplies for facility; place orders as needed

**Possess exceptional organizational & record-keeping skills to establish and maintain accurate filing systems.

**Knowledge of personal computers, general office equipment, computer software, including applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe.

**Ability to conduct research to identify and collect appropriate data when requested

**Assist with Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable-Knowledge of Sage (PeachTree) Accounting software a plus

-----Education and Experience----

**High School Diploma or equivalent required

**Experience in performing clerical duties both effectively and efficiently

As everyone is well aware, Hurricane Laura has devastated Calcasieu Parish. Members of our team and others will be making a trip to Lake Charles this coming Friday (9/4/2020) to deliver supplies and lend a hand to those in need. If anyone would be interested in donating supplies for us to deliver, the gesture would be greatly appreciated. Beings that most of the stores have been damaged, people are having to go East or West to get supplies. While any donations are greatly appreciated, we have found out that items such as water, wood screws, roofing nails, extension cords, tarps, rope, gas cans, chains saws, and other building related items are greatly needed.
