The Books Along the Teche Literary Festival traces its roots to 2016 as a modest book fair for authors organized by the owners of the Books Along the Teche, Howard and Lorraine Kingston. Today, authors come from near and far to sell their books along Main Street in the heart of New Iberia’s charming downtown. This year, we will have many amazing authors that you will not want to miss! We hope to see y’all there! 📚✨

Today, we proudly celebrate Charlene Beckett, Abbeville Main Street Director, on 30 years of dedicated service to the City of Abbeville,

Over the years, Charlene has worked to secure grant funding, support local businesses, and carry out efforts that continue to enhance and preserve historic downtown Abbeville. From coordinating projects and improvements to helping bring events and activity to the Main Street District, her work has played an important role in shaping the downtown we know and love today.

Thank you for your dedication and for the countless ways you’ve poured into this community over the past 30 years.
