Friends of the Free Library of New Hope and Solebury

Friends of the Free Library of New Hope and Solebury The nonprofit FOL raises special funds for our library including, but not limited to, adult program You can make a difference! Who are the Friends?

Join your neighbors in supporting our library by becoming a Friend. Support life-long learning, access to information and community programs for all ages. The Friends of the Library is an independent non-profit, all-volunteer organization that raises funds in support of The Free Library of New Hope and Solebury. Our annual contributions help fund improvements and programming to better serve our co

mmunity. Why we need YOU

While the Library provides more and more services in response to user interests and needs, funding cuts make providing excellent library service a challenge. The Library receives funding from the State of Pennsylvania, New Hope Borough and Solebury Township, but as much as half of library funding must be raised by donations. The Friends help raise these funds through membership dues and fundraising events. Through your help, the library can continue to provide:

* Books and audio books
* DVDs and music CDs
* E-resources including e-books, Kindles, and data bases
* Public use computers
* Reading rooms with current magazines and daily newspapers
* Special programs for all ages such as story times, author visits, and other programs tailored to the wants and needs of our community.
* Reading clubs, including the Mystery BookClub and Let's Talk Books
* Community access to local history and research materials
* Free museum passes
