Diapers are critical to a baby's health and happiness, yet most federal assistance programs do not consider diapers to be a basic necessity for babies and will not cover the expense for parents and caregivers.
Research has shown that close to 34% of families have cut down on food or needed childcare in order to pay for diapers and 33% of families struggle to afford diapers on a regular basis.
With your help, we can provide the Diaper Bank of CT with 87 diapers with just a $15 donation. On average, a family spends close to $150 a month to keep just one baby in diapers. Follow the link to donate today - all donations with "DIAPERS" noted in the comment section will be given directly to the Diaper Bank of CT.

NCAN is a results focused mobilizing force of committed individuals who work to obtain justice, equity, and fair representation in the Newhallville neighborhood.
VISION: An economically vibrant Newhallville shaped by its residents for the benefit of its residents.
Newhallville Community Action Network (NCAN) 5 Point Program
WE WANT FREEDOM. WE WANT POWER TO DETERMINE THE DESTINY OF OUR OPPRESSED COMMUNITY.
We believe that Newhallville will not be free until we are able to determine our destinies in our own community ourselves, by fully controlling the urban development plans for our neighborhood. We will implement our own Community-Led Urban Development Plan.
WE WANT FULL EMPLOYMENT FOR OUR PEOPLE.
We believe that the federal, state, and city government is responsible and obligated to give every person employment or a guaranteed income. We believe that if Connecticut businessmen will not give full employment, then the technology and means of production will be placed in the community so that the people of Newhallville can organize and employ all of its people and give a high standard of living.
WE WANT AN END TO THE ROBBERY OF OUR COMMUNITY
Most of the businesses and property management companies in Newhallville rob the community by taking our money without reinvesting in the community. We believe that if a business is going to operate in Newhallville it must either be community-owned or be subject to social accountability measures which require reinvestment in the Newhallville community. Newhallville residents are chronically unemployed and underemployed. Most of the residents who are employed are being underpaid and robbed of their labor by the service industry of the city of New Haven and surrounding towns.
WE WANT DECENT HOUSING, FIT FOR THE SHELTER OF HUMAN BEINGS.
We believe that if the landlords will not give decent housing to Newhallville residents, then housing and the land should be made into cooperatives so that the people of Newhallville, with government aid, can build and make decent housing for residents.
WE WANT DECENT EDUCATION FOR NEWHALLVILLE RESIDENTS THAT TEACHES US OUR TRUE HISTORY AND OUR ROLE IN THE PRESENT-DAY SOCIETY.
We believe in an educational system that will give Newhallville residents a knowledge of the self. If you do not have knowledge of yourself and your position in the society and in the world, then you will have little chance to know anything else.
Philosophy:
The Newhallville Community Action Network facilitates the cultivation of self-actualized autonomous embodied agency for every Newhallville resident. The extent to which a Newhallville resident can maintain a conscious connection to their sense of self and agency determines the level of mental freedom they will experience. The translation of mental freedom to action clears the way for liberation.
The Newhallville Community Action Network will liberate Newhallville from the historic level of oppression that has crippled our community. NCAN is committed to ensuring that the liberation of Newhallville rests within the hands of its residents. We create the community landscape. We decide how to uplift ourselves. We return the power of decision making to its proper home among Newhallville residents.
Newhallville Community Action Network is a subsidiary of The Roy and Dora Smith Community Starr
