It’s a great day to bring the kids out to Touch a Truck! 10AM - Noon at the Rec Center. We hope to see you there!

TOMORROW Saturday, June 13th, 10:00-12:00. Join us again this year for one of our most popular programs! To accommodate more parking and even MORE TRUCKS we will be at the New Hartford Recreation Center. This is a fun event for the young and young at heart truck lovers. Come see and explore some of the great vehicles that make New Hartford run. The New Hartford Highway Department hopes to make this even bigger and better than ever! The NHFD and NHPD will also be attending!

What a week for New Hartford Athletics!

The Town of New Hartford congratulates three New Hartford teams on winning Sectional titles and advancing to State competition this week!

We’re proud to celebrate:
• NH Girls Track Athletes moving on to the State Qualifier Meet
• New Hartford Softball - Class A Sectional Champions
• New Hartford Baseball - Class A Sectional Champions

You may have noticed new banners appearing throughout town in recent days as New Hartford begins recognizing America250, the nationwide commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the birth of our nation.

A special thank you to Highway Superintendent Rick Sherman and his crew for installing the banners throughout town. The banners were provided by Oneida County as part of a county-wide America250 initiative, and Supervisor Messa is proud to work with County Executive Anthony Picente to bring this historic milestone to New Hartford.

The banners are just one way our community is taking part in America250. New Hartford will also mark the occasion with the return of fireworks at Sherrillbrook Park on Sunday, July 5th.

Today the Town of New Hartford, with the help of the New Hartford Chamber of Commerce celebrated the official ribbon cutting for the new playground at Sherrillbrook Park.

Supervisor Jim Messa recognized the many people, partners, and hours of work that helped make this project possible. We are especially grateful to Oneida County for its financial support. County investment in community projects like this is essential, and this playground would not have happened without that partnership.

We were proud to be joined by Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente, Oneida County Legislative Chair Mary Pratt, Legislator Maria McNeil, members of the Town Board, Town staff, the New Hartford Chamber of Commerce, and many residents from the community.

Special recognition goes to Rick Sherman, Chris Moran and John Randall for leading the project, but most importantly, the “men in hats”, our Highway Department team and Parks & Recreation crew, whose hard work, skill, and dedication brought this playground to life. From the groundwork to the installation to making sure the space was safe and ready for families, their efforts are what really made today possible.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate this exciting addition to Sherrillbrook Park. This new playground is more than new equipment. It is an investment in our children, our families, and the future of New Hartford.

Today’s the day! At 2:30pm today, the new playground at Sherrillbrook Park will open with an official ribbon cutting ceremony.

This exciting new enhancement to a park we all love gives kids and families a great place to get outside, play, explore and enjoy the fresh air.

We’re happy to announce this great addition to our community and we extend a special thank you to our Parks & Recreation and Highway Department teams for their hard work in helping make this playground a safe, welcoming place for kids to play and families to enjoy.
