General information
The New Hartford Volunteer Ambulance Association was formed in 1968. NHVA provides pre-hospital emergency medical care to New Hartford, Barkhamsted and West Hartland. Through Mutual Aid agreements we also provide emergency medical services to our neighboring communities. NHVA Emergency Medical Services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to all those in need. We respond to an average of 800-1000 emergency calls each year. Currently, NHVA has over 100 volunteers serving as EMTs, Drivers, EMRs and Explorers.
