Happy Weekend!

2 ea- Open Door, Verbal Dispute
1 ea- 911 Hangup, Assist Other Agency, Follow-up, Lost & Found, Parking Complaint, Property
Damage Crash, Special Detail, Suspicious Vehicle, Traffic Jam, Verbal Domestic.
85 House/Business Checks
9 Traffic Stops resulting in 5 warnings, 1 no-violation, and 3 tickets for the following:
5/24- Cambridge female- Speed 56/35 W Main/Rix Mills
5/25- Uniontown, PA female- Speed 59/35 W Main/Rix Mills
5/28- New Concord female- Expired Plates (Aug ’25) W Main/S Friendship
You may be wondering about the 1 “no-violation” stop. Why would the police stop a driver who isn’t committing a traffic offense? In this case, the stop was for no license plates.
The driver was headed back to her home near Circleville, Ohio after having just completed an Ohio State Highway Patrol Salvage Inspection at their Cambridge location. Ohio law allows owners to drive their salvage vehicles directly to and from a scheduled inspection and one is required before the owner can buy plates for the vehicle. It wasn’t until after the officer made the traffic stop and collected the driver’s license, salvage title, and inspection certificate that they determined this wasn’t just someone trying to save a buck by not renewing their plates.
It's the National Road Yard Sales this weekend, so get out there and do some treasure hunting!
Be Safe!
