Congratulations to our newest officers and best of luck in the academy! I hear the drill instructors are excited to meet all of you!

The Clarkstown Police Department is proud to welcome our newest officers. Each has chosen a career dedicated to service, integrity, and strengthening the bond between law enforcement and our community.

Supervisor Hoehmann, Chief Wanamaker, Captain Fay, and Captain Cummings proudly welcome C. Walsh, K. TenEyck, B. Curley, and D. Gauzza, who will soon begin their training at the Rockland County Police and Public Safety Academy.

We wish them the very best as they begin their law enforcement careers and look forward to their future service to the Clarkstown community.

The Clarkstown Police Department stands with the Newark Police Department after last nights tragic officer involved shooting. This is a stark reminder of the dangers officers face every day in the line of duty. Our thoughts are with the Newark officers, their families, and the entire department during this difficult time.

In what many are calling a true team effort, the Clarkstown PBA capped off an undefeated season with a dominant championship victory. After an impassioned halftime speech by player/coach Dowen, the CPD PBA team rallied to a 20pt lead and never looked back. Congratulations!

This morning the Clarkstown PBA attended the Santa Response Team toy drive in Closter, NJ where dozens of departments from New York and New Jersey gathered to drop off THOUSANDS of presents for families in need. Clarkstown Police membership not only purchased and gathered hundreds of toys, but also raised almost $2000 to fulfill Christmas wishlists made from children in the Clarkstown area. Some of these requests were not just video games and toys, but beds to sleep and everyday items that children in our area did not have. We are so thankful to everyone who participated in this amazing event to make sure the children in Clarkstown have a special holiday season.

We would like to congratulate Sgt. Von Ronn on being voted the winner of the 2023 CPD Movember contest. Dozens of officers donned their best beards, mustaches, and goatees for the last 30 days while raising money for numerous men’s health organizations. In total, $5784 was raised and we would like to thank everyone who donated to our team. Additionally, a big thank you to our dispatchers for once again being our contest judges as well as Chief Wanamaker for bending our facial hair policy to allow this great fundraiser to take place!

The Clarkstown PBA will once again be taking part in the Santa Response Team toy drive where dozens of police departments join together to help families in need during the holiday season. We will be collecting NEW and UNWRAPPED presents that can be dropped off in the lobby of the Clarkstown Police Department. Thank you in advance for your participation!

Members of the Clarkstown PBA attended numerous Trunk or Treat events over the weekend. Always great to see the creative costumes and even some future recruits!
