CSEA has been fighting hard to fix Tier 6 and we’ve already made significant progress:

✅ Reduced vesting from 10 to 5 years
✅ Your pension is now based on your top 3 earning years, not 5
✅ Stopped overtime pay from inflating contribution rates

But we’re not done yet.

More photos to come, but we were blown away by the support our union's Village of Spring Valley Unit members from Rockland County CSEA Local 844 received today as they rallied for a fair contract, safe working conditions, and respect on the job.

This rally gave Spring Valley CSEA members the chance to share the impact the lack of a union contract (seven years and counting) has had on their families and, in return, they received strong support from CSEA family from near and far. Community members from Spring Valley also offered valuable support.

Special thanks to our union family at CSEA Nassau County Local 830. They went above and beyond to help us make today's rally a success and their solidarity shows how widespread the support is for getting this contract done!

2,706 days (and counting) ⌚️

That's how long Village of Spring Valley Unit members have been working without a contract. We're pretty sure that the taxpayer money poured into fighting a fair contract -- not to mention attorney fees for the numerous grievances and arbitrations in which we've prevailed -- could have paid for this contract already.

That's why we're asking you to stand with us this Wednesday, Oct. 29. We'll start gathering at 3:30 p.m. and rally at 4:30 pm. Send us a message if you need more info or want to let us know you'll be there.

Beware! A New SCAM is Circulating
Our union has been made aware of an email pretending to be from CSEA President Mary E. Sullivan asking for your cell phone number. After providing a number, the SCAMMER then asks you to purchase a gift card and share the numbers from the back of the card.

The recipient is told that the gift cards are for an employee/member appreciation event and that it is a surprise, so the recipient is advised not to share.

This is a SCAM and is NOT from President Sullivan! Please DO NOT respond to or engage with this email!
