Thank you to everyone who gathered at Town Hall for our annual 9/11 ceremony commemorating the 25th anniversary of the horrific attacks on the World Trade Center. We mourn the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, as well as the countless individuals who have since passed away from 9/11-related illnesses. We also honor the brave individuals who survived and continue to carry the lasting impact of that day.

The Clarkstown Town Board and Clarkstown Police Department Chief James Fay paid tribute to the 26 residents with ties to our Town who lost their lives, along with the thousands of others who perished on September 11.

We will never forget.

We will remember the goodness, courage, and humanity of the fallen sons and daughters of Clarkstown and Rockland County. We honor their lives and legacies, while also recognizing the extraordinary strength and courage demonstrated by their surviving families.

May we always remember. May we always honor. May we never forget.

The Town of Clarkstown is deeply saddened by the passing of Pat Cropsey, a dedicated land preservationist and beacon of our community. Years ago, Pat, together with her late husband, James Cropsey sold their farm, to the County and Town to protect for future generations. Pat was also involved with the Rockland County Historical Society and the American Association of University Women. She worked tirelessly to ensure that our region’s unique history and traditions would live on in perpetuity. We offer our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones during this difficult time, and celebrate the incredible life that Pat lived. May she rest in peace and may the memory of her remarkable contributions to our community live on for generations to come.

Today Supervisor George Hoehmann and Clarkstown Police Chief James Fay welcomed Clarkstown's newest K-9, Argo. Argo, a 1 y/o Labrador Retriever, and his partner Police Officer O'Connell, completed Yonkers PD K-9 Patrol school in June.
