Now it is time to say “thank you” to those who helped us along the way:

Thank you Chuck and Candace at Weis Fire & Safety Equipment, LLC for making some of our dreams come true! You built a great truck for us! The fire service is changing, and volunteers who do what we do are hard to come by.

Scott Township Supervisors, thank you for your help purchasing this truck. I hope that you continue to stand with us on protecting the community. Our partnership is the best!

Our volunteers, you make an impact everyday. Keep being you. Keep training. Keep in the front of your mind that we do this for our community! You all have a place in our department whether it be fundraising, running calls, bringing refreshments to calls, maintenance on trucks and buildings, or being leaders for younger generations.

Our community, without you none of it would be possible. Without your generous donations of any kind we wouldn’t be able to keep up with today’s society. Thank you is an understatement. Always know we are doing our best to meet needs of our entire community and will be ready!

To Bobbi's Transportation Management thank you SO MUCH for seamlessly and quickly completing the title work needed to make this baby ours. Please consider them for any of your state transportation needs as they consistently give back to our community.

And finally, thank you to the two members who took the time away from their families and jobs to ensure this truck made it home. Picture it: corn, corn, and more corn. A bad hotel. More corn for miles. A few good meals. A lot of 90’s country music. And did i mention corn? I’m pretty sure they are still seeing corn when they close their eyes. You guys are the real MVPs😆

Today is a pretty special day for us. THE LONG AWAITED SURPRISE..

After months of planning, hard work, countless conversations, and more blood, sweat, and tears than we can probably count, we are incredibly proud to officially welcome our newest apparatus to the fleet:

❤️ Brush Truck 1543 ❤️

Built by Weis Fire & Safety Equipment in Salina Kansas, this truck is more than just a new piece of equipment. It represents dedication, sacrifice, teamwork, and the commitment to protecting the community we proudly serve.

Every time our members answer the call, they do it knowing that the right equipment can make all the difference. This truck will help us answer that call — whether it’s a brush fire, a structure fire, a rescue, or simply being there when our neighbors need us most.

We are incredibly proud of what our department has accomplished, and even more grateful for the community that continues to stand behind us. This truck belongs to all of us. Every fundraiser, donation, sponsorship, and helping hand played a part in bringing 1543 home.

There’s a lot of pride sitting behind that wheel. 🇺🇸
