Friday, June 5, is a half day for students in grades K-11 and the last day of school for the 2025-2026 school year!
Please note the following dismissal times:
🎓 William Penn High School (Tier 1)
• Make-Up Exam Day
• No transportation will be provided
📚 Middle Schools & John G. Leach School (Tier 2)
• Drop-off: 7:55 AM
• Dismissal: 11:55 AM
🍎 Elementary Schools (Tier 3)
• Drop-off: 8:45 AM
• Dismissal: 12:55 PM
🧸 Colwyck Pre-K (Tier 4)
• No school

Today's weather was exceptionally favorable for Field Day 2026. With activities such as bounce houses, balloon tossing, sand art, potato sack racing, the pizza box challenge, tug of war, sun visor decorating, basketball, and Ms. Dent at the DJ booth, this Field Day was truly outstanding. The Color Wars theme, representing each hallway was enthusiastically embraced by students and staff, who proudly wore yellow, green, blue, and orange attire, accompanied by numerous smiles. Well done, Sharks!

🎉 Congratulations to Chadia Garyeazon of Southern Elementary School on being named the 2027 Colonial School District Teacher of the Year! ❤️🖤

A proud third-grade teacher at Southern, Chadia’s journey in Colonial began in 2017 as a Para Educator at Colwyck before becoming a classroom teacher in 2021. Since then, she has continued to inspire students through her passion for learning, dedication to meeting the needs of every child, and commitment to creating a classroom built on love, support, and belonging.

Chadia truly represents the Power of WE by being Bold, Inclusive, and Authentic every day. Whether she is turning lessons into songs, creating hands-on learning experiences, or encouraging students to take risks and believe in themselves, her impact reaches far beyond the classroom.
