Remembering William "Jerry" McCarthy

As the last 13 years have passed, we continue to have constant reminders of your presence within our department. Whether they be stories of your personality and quotes (little brother), the memorial pins of your badge number on our uniforms, or your pictures continuing to grace our station walls. You were a great Officer and a better man, who made the ultimate sacrifice protecting our community. May 2 is the date that you left us, but your memory remains and will never be never forgotten.

The Shenango Police Department would like to extend our sincere thanks to the United States Deputy Sheriff's Association for their generous donation of two steel plate carriers, provided through a grant at no cost to the department. Their continued support—both to our department and to agencies across the country—is greatly appreciated. These carriers will play an important role in helping keep our officers safe during high-risk incidents.
