Units were alerted for a Large Outside Fire on Box 2200. As units arrived they found a 300’ x 300’ pile of trash on fire. Command Requested Brush Trucks, Gators & a Tanker Task Force. Units operated for 6.5 hours flowing over 100,000 gallons of water during the operation . Assistant Chief (Schenck) had the Minquadale Command. The scene was turned back over to the property owner. Rescue Engine 22 first due on Box 1800 for fire in a Private Dwelling. Chief 18 (Majewski) had the New Castle Command. The crew operated for 2.5 hours. The fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshall’s office. Thanks to for covering the local while we were committed.

Rescue Engine & Chief 22 operated on Box 2330 for a fire in a Private Dwelling. Deputy Chief 23 (Hamm) had the Newport Command. The fire is under investigation by the State Fire Marshall’s Office.

Rescue Engine & Chief 22 operated on Box 1120 for fire in a Private Dwelling. Chief 11 (Edwards) had the Brandywine Command. The searches proved negative & a total of 3 lines stretched and 2 were operating. The fire is under investigation by the Delaware State Fire Marshall’s Office. Today at 17:42 hours Companies were alerted for a Motor Vehicle Accident with entrapment in the area of I95 & I295 Box Area 2220. Rescue Engine 22 arrived and confirmed one trapped. Rescue Engine 22 & Squad 17 extricated one patient who was transported by Trooper 4 to the Trauma Center. Ambulance B22 transported a second patient to the Trauma Center. The accident is under investigation by the Delaware State Police.

This week our crews took the time to really clean up the trucks and get them looking sharp again.

While we were at it, we made sure to keep the tribute sticker proudly displayed for Cpl/1 Matthew Snook.

It’s more than just a sticker — it’s a reminder of the sacrifice made, the brotherhood we stand for, and the respect we will always have for those who gave everything.

We will never forget.

Eastside Companies were alerted @ 04:16 for Box 2210 with a reported house on fire. Engine 22 arrived to find a 10x10 shed involved in the rear yard. The assignment was scaled back to 3 & 1. Deputy 20 (Emmell) had the Minquadale Command. The fire is under investigation by the Delaware State Fire Marshall’s Office. .fire

Last night Rescue Engine 22 was alerted for Box 2113 due to units operating on another box and out of position. First arriving units went on scene with fire showing. Rescue Engine 22 operated as the RIT Company. Deputy 14 (Swift) had the Mill Creek Command.
