Join community members tomorrow, September 11th, in remembrance of a day that changed our country forever. Stay safe and united we stand.

New Buffalo Area Schools will gather students, staff, families, first responders, and community members for a special 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony commemorating the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks.

The ceremony will take place Friday, September 11, at 8:40 a.m. and will provide an
opportunity for the New Buffalo community to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost, honor the first responders and heroes who demonstrated extraordinary courage and sacrifice, and reflect on the enduring lessons of service, unity, and compassion.
The program will include remarks from New Buffalo Mayor Vance Price, members of the New Buffalo Area Schools community, and New Buffalo Township Fire Chief Jamie Flick.

The New Buffalo High School Band will perform the National Anthem and “God Bless America,” while New Buffalo Middle School students singing will perform patriotic selections. The ceremony will also include bell rings marking significant moments of September 11, a moment of silence, and a 9/11 Stair Climb honoring those who lost their lives while responding to the attacks.

Another summer has come to an end at New Buffalo Beach.

The City of New Buffalo would like to thank everyone who came to visit us this summer. We hope you had an enjoyable experience, and we hope to see you again.

A huge thank you to the entire staff! Thank you lifeguards for keeping everyone safe and informed, and beach staff for keeping everything clean.

Please keep the following in mind if you choose to visit the city beach in the off season.

We no longer have lifeguards or are using the flag warning system. Please use caution if you choose to enter the water.

The concession stand is now closed for the season.

The bathrooms will be open on weekends only from
10 a.m to 6 p.m.

Pay by plate is still in effect until October 1st.

Again, The City of New Buffalo thanks you for your patronage. See you next summer!

The iRock Jazz Fest has been canceled for this weekend. Join community members on Saturday, October 10th downtown, for the Beach Glass Brew Fest. Everyone have a safe Labor Day weekend!
