More than a program. A community. 🤝

ROTC isn’t just early mornings, labs, and field exercises. It’s the people who show up next to you every time: the cadets who carry each other through the hard days, the cadre who invest in your growth, and the friends who become family along the way. 🎖️

This morning, cadets completed a six-mile ruck in partnership with River Road Rescue Squad. They carried 35-pound rucksacks along the Delaware Raritan Canal, completing the march in under 100 minutes. Instead of carrying weights, many cadets carried pet food and other necessities to be collected and donated to a local animal shelter, turning every mile into something that gives back. This was an idea brought forward by our MSIII class, led by CDT Kris Kuzar, to honor their classmate, CDT Kaylinn Scully, who passed away last fall.

Fall FTX Continued⚔️
Over the weekend Cadets pushed through Patrol Base Operations, Field Craft, and Platoon Movement Techniques, learning how to securely move as a unit in the field. They also ran Patrol Lanes with radios, working through comms under pressure and calling in adjust-fire, putting their decision-making to the test in real time.

And they did it all through the Nor'easter wind, rain, and all. Nothing like a little bad weather to test discipline and resilience.

To close it out, a few standout cadets were recognized with awards for staying motivated and bringing their best, even when the days got long. A great reminder that attitude and effort go just as far as skill.🎖️

Those Cadets were (from left to right on slide 4):
MSI- David Levin
MSIII- Cooper Henderson
MSI- Lynn Charles
MSIII- Wesley Hansen
MSII- Evangeline Huey
MSIII- Allison Takayama

Every lane, every rep, building the leaders this program is designed to produce.💪

FTX in full swing! Our MSIIIs and MSIIs built the foundational skills of Warrior tasks with the medical and weapons lanes, from treating a casualty under fire to handling their weapon with confidence. Meanwhile, our MSIs took to the woods for land navigation to sharpen their map-reading.
