4th Alarm Fire — 191 Easton Avenue

At approximately 3:00 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, the New Brunswick Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 191 Easton Avenue, which quickly grew to a 4th alarm incident.

All on-scene firefighters performed outstanding work under challenging conditions. Crews operated aggressively and professionally to contain the fire, protect nearby properties, and keep our community safe.

We extend our sincere thanks to all mutual aid companies and county agencies that assisted on scene and provided coverage for the City, including Edison FD, East Franklin VFD, Monroe FD, North Brunswick Company 1 VFD, East Brunswick Independent VFD, Arbor Hose VFD, North Stelton VFD, Perth Amboy FD, Middlesex County HazMat, and the Middlesex County Fire Coordinators.

Large-scale incidents require teamwork, coordination, and strong mutual aid partnerships. We are grateful for the support of all agencies involved.

Great job by all departments.

One of the greatest parts of serving the City of New Brunswick is the opportunity to connect with the people who make our community so special. Today, members of the New Brunswick Fire Department had the privilege of joining the New Brunswick Senior Center Bocce Team for a morning of bocce, camaraderie, and plenty of smiles.

At the NBFD, serving our community goes beyond emergency response. Opportunities like this remind us that some of the most meaningful connections are made simply by spending time together.

Thank you to everyone at the New Brunswick Senior Center for your hospitality and friendship. We had a fantastic time and look forward to seeing you all again soon!

Lincoln Elementary School students got an up-close look at a patrol car, a fire truck and other vehicles as part of Friday’s Career Day. Earlier, a championship boxer, an HVAC pro and an employee at DEVCO – the corporation that developed several buildings across the city – visited the students in their classrooms.
