🚨 NIH researchers: important update!

The grace period is over—the NIH now requires all biosketches and other support documents to be created and certified through SciENcv.

This shift is part of a broader federal effort to standardize research disclosure forms, making compliance more consistent across agencies.

The best time to check your SciENcv setup is before a deadline is approaching.

🎉 Congratulations to Rutgers Art Librarian Megan Lotts on her drawing being featured on the cover of College & Research Libraries News!

Her sketch captures the energy of the 2025 ALA Annual Conference in Philadelphia, where conversations around intellectual freedom and digital equity took center stage. (The 2026 ALA Annual Conference will be held June 25–29 in Chicago.)

Lotts's work reflects her signature approach—blending creativity, play, and reflection—to foster meaningful engagement in library spaces. Through practices like sketching, six-word stories, and collaborative artmaking, she champions multimodal literacies and invites learners to think critically, experiment boldly, and connect in new ways.

Through our participation in the BTAA consortium, Rutgers University Libraries have secured an open access publishing agreement with Wiley through December 31, 2027.

The agreement continues the consortium’s commitment to a barrier-free publishing model, allowing eligible corresponding authors to publish open access in Wiley hybrid journals at no cost, while maintaining full reading access to the Wiley journal portfolio.

❗Important update for authors: Publishing support is changing for some Wiley journals that may affect author funding and submission timing decisions.

Did you have a chance to check out the R Garden in the College Avenue Student Center on Rutgers Day? 👀

Rutgers University Libraries transformed the Block R into an open book using bookbinding fabric, cardboard, 3D printed letters, and a compilation of images, maps, and graphical designs.

The project is a visual representation of the extensive Rutgers University Libraries system: 11 libraries across all Rutgers locations, five distinctive collections, and a robust online presence.

Meet the creative minds who conceived and constructed this work of art: Charles Casseus, Luke Sangiamo, and Ray George from our centralized shipping department. 👏👏👏
