My aspirations to become an Alderman in the 4th ward (districts 13, 12 and 9) were spawned by my desire to give back to my community. However, having two daughters served as my primary motivation to get involved in the community. As a resident and a father, I believe it is important to give back to New Britain to ensure the City maintains its safe environment, economic stability and fiscal respons
ibility. It is my passion to improve the community in which residents live and have the opportunity to enrich their lives, by ensuring kids are receiving a quality education, providing local jobs and housing, and that City taxes are affordable for all residents. As such, this draws me to my platform for seeking your support and vote during elections; education, improving blight by turning abandoned property into homes or promoting business growth, and taxes. With my skill set, I strongly believe I can help contribute and make the City even better as we move forward. Being a certified public accountant (‘CPA”), I have significant experience in budget analysis, government accounting, financial reporting and consulting which will allow me to contribute to the City to ensure its fiscal responsibility. I also have significant experience working in a team environment to ensure policies and procedures established as a collective group are properly implemented and monitored to ensure the best possible outcomes are achieved. I have provided a brief summary of my professional experience on the reverse side of this letter.
