⛳️ Exciting News from New Britain PAL! ⛳️

Our Junior Golf Camp teed off on April 27th and will run every Monday through June 15th! 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️

We’re proud to announce that the New Britain PAL program has been selected as 1 of only 30 programs nationwide to participate in the PGA Junior Opportunity League! 🎉

In collaboration with the PGA of America and First Tee of Connecticut, this incredible opportunity gives our young golfers the chance to be part of a structured league that includes practices, matches, and exciting opportunities to grow as they progress in the program.

This is more than just golf — it’s about building confidence, discipline, and a love for the game. We’re excited to see our athletes develop both on and off the course!

We are incredibly proud of the New Britain Police Athletic League programs.

Last week, our Varsity Cheer Team earned 2nd place and our P*e Wee Cheer Team earned 3rd place at the Pop Warner National Championships in Charlotte, North Carolina. This year marked the first time Pop Warner hosted the national competition at that location, and our athletes represented New Britain with pride and dedication.

We also want to recognize our 11U Football Team for earning a spot in the AYF National Championships in Naples, Florida last week. While they did not place, they competed with heart, played hard, and represented PAL with character and sportsmanship.

Thank you to all of our athletes, coaches, and families for an outstanding season.

Fore please! The New Britain Police Athletic League (PAL), in collaboration with the First Tee of Connecticut, wrapped up their Fall Golf Program! Over the past 6 weeks, Sergeant Dave McDermott and First Tee instructed over 30 kids, teaching them about the fundamentals of the game of golf.

This past Monday, our young golfers got to take the skills learned and put them to the test at the First Tee of Connecticut’s Learning Links Course in Cromwell! A big thanks to Stanley Golf Course and First Tee of CT for all of their help! Follow us for future information about our spring golf program!

Happy Friday Everyone! The New Britain Police Athletic League (PAL) will be again hosting Midnight Basketball from 6 PM to 10 PM

Tonight (7/25) at Osgood Park

Tomorrow (7/26) at Willow St. Park
in partnership with NB Youth Prevention Council

We look forward to seeing everyone on the courts!

🏈 That’s a Wrap on the 2025 Byron Jones Football Camp! 🏆

What an incredible day this past Sunday at Osgood Park! Over 100 young athletes came out to compete, learn, and grow at this year’s Byron Jones Football Camp, hosted by New Britain PAL.

From high-energy drills and friendly competitions to prizes, autographs, and unforgettable moments meeting Byron Jones himself — the day was packed with excitement, inspiration, and community spirit.

A huge thank you to Byron for giving back to the youth of New Britain, and to all the volunteers, coaches, and supporters who made the day possible.

Also, thank you to CCSU Football for all their help and support! Having Division 1 athletes encouraging our youth made for an even more incredible experience!!
