Some people dedicate a few months to a mission.

Others dedicate decades.

At Cheers to 75 Years, we'll recognize employees who have devoted 25 years or more to supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

Together, these employees represent generations of service, compassion, dedication, and commitment. Through changing times, growing programs, and countless milestones, they have helped create opportunities, build relationships, and strengthen our community.

Their years of service tell a story far greater than numbers alone. They represent lives touched, goals achieved, and meaningful moments shared.

We are honored to celebrate their remarkable contributions and thank them for helping shape CCARC's story.

A longtime CCARC Board and Foundation leader, Dick championed volunteerism, encouraged others to serve, and helped strengthen organizations throughout our region. He was known for his commitment to education, community service, and giving back.

His example continues to inspire the spirit of service that helps move our mission forward today.

When many teenagers were focused on school and friends, Lillian Agostini was already helping support CCARC programs.

Lillian began volunteering as a young teenager and remained connected to the organization for decades. Over the years, she helped with transportation and supported people and families when opportunities and resources looked very different than they do today.

Her story reflects the dedication, compassion, and community spirit that helped build CCARC's foundation.

This past Thursday, we celebrated the ribbon cutting of our new garden space and the incredible partnerships that helped bring it to life.

Thanks to the generosity, dedication, and collaboration of our community partners, volunteers, donors, and supporters, the people we support now have a beautiful outdoor space to plant, grow, harvest, and enjoy throughout the seasons.

The garden offers opportunities to spend time outdoors, care for plants, learn where food comes from, observe wildlife and pollinators, and experience the simple joy of watching something grow. From the first seedlings of spring to the harvests of fall, it will be a place for learning, connection, and discovery.

We are deeply grateful to New Britain ROOTS, The Community Chest of New Britain and Berlin, Stanley Black & Decker, Tropea Realty, Hometown Foundation Inc., Angelo's Market, and everyone who contributed their time, talent, and support to make this project possible.

Thank you for helping cultivate a space where people can connect with nature, learn new skills, and grow alongside one another. 🌱💙
