š Fall festival season is officially here! š
As the leaves change and we head into our favorite fall eventsāfrom high school football games to Halloween festivitiesāour streets are getting a lot busier. With shorter days and more families out walking, safety is a shared responsibility. Weāre asking everyone to do their part to keep our community safe.
š Drivers: Slow down in residential areas. Twilight makes it much harder to see pedestrians, and kids can move unpredictably during neighborhood events. Children excited for fall festivals or trick-or-treating can unexpectedly dart out from between parked cars. Always yield to pedestrians. Turn your headlights on early! Put down the phone. If your fall plans involve alcohol, always designate a driver or use a rideshare service.
š¶ Pedestrians: Stay bright! Use a flashlight after dark, wear reflective clothing, and always cross at designated intersections. Never assume a car sees youāmake eye contact before stepping off the curb.Letās keep our streets safe for all ages this autumn. Share this post to spread the word!
