Beaver County Emergency Services recently conducted a routine test of the sirens located within the 10-Mile Emergency Planning Zone for the Beaver Valley Power Station. During a real emergency, Beaver County utilizes a mass notification system to send time-sensitive safety messages directly to residents.

Local residents can easily sign up to receive these critical notifications on their mobile devices. Registration is available by texting BCAlerts to 77295 on a mobile device or by visiting the official Beaver County website at www.beavercountypa.gov and selecting the blue Stay Informed icon.

Everyone is encouraged to review the attached flyer and share this information with family, friends, and neighbors to help ensure the entire community remains safe and prepared.

The annual siren test is tomorrow, September 8th at 11am. The emergency sirens within the 10-mile radius of the Beaver Valley Power Station will be activated. These outdoor warning sirens will sound for a steady 3 minutes.
