Latine Heritage Month is a time to celebrate the people, cultures, traditions, histories and contributions of Latine communities. Also celebrated as Hispanic Heritage Month, Latine Heritage Months starts on September 15 and goes until October 15th.

We recognize that this celebration comes at a difficult time for many Latine families. We honor those who have made sacrifices in pursuit of safety and opportunity and the families and communities that continue to care for one another.

We invite our community to celebrate, learn, listen, and help build a city where everyone feels a sense of belonging. Visit our website to learn more: www.newbrightonmn.gov/653/Showcase-Latine-Vibrancy

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the families, friends, and communities forever changed by that day.

We honor the first responders and ordinary people who showed extraordinary courage, compassion, and selflessness in the face of tragedy.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Happy Back to School, New Brighton!

The school year is kicking off this week, and we’re wishing all students, families, teachers, and school staff in New Brighton and our surrounding communities a wonderful year ahead!

As everyone settles back into their routines, please take a little extra care on the roads:

🚶‍♀️ Watch for students walking and biking to school.
🚲 Give bicyclists plenty of space and time to cross.
🚌 Follow school bus yielding laws and stop when required.
🚗 Slow down and stay alert in school zones and neighborhood streets.

A few extra seconds of patience can help make the trip to and from school safer for everyone. Have a great school year!
