Got a Warrant? The New Braunfels Municipal Court is offering a resolution opportunity to help you take care of it.

This opportunity allows individuals with outstanding warrants to appear before a judge, set up payment arrangements, and resolve eligible cases, including possible dismissal when allowed by law.

One session will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 4 p.m. through Zoom. Individuals must call the Municipal Court at (830) 221-4180 in advance to be added to the docket and receive Zoom instructions.

During this session, the Court will use a Safe Harbor Policy to help eligible participants address their warrant without arrest when visiting the Court. (Please note: Participation does not guarantee dismissal or prevent arrest in all situations. Outcomes depend on applicable law and individual case history.)

Don’t wait! ⌛ Applications for the Charter Review Commission are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, September 18!

This is your chance to help shape the future of New Braunfels. The Charter Review Commission takes a close look at the city charter and makes recommendations to City Council. Those recommendations may lead to a Charter Amendment Election in May 2027.

The commission will include at least seven members, and all of them must live within the New Braunfels city limits. Each City Council member will appoint one resident to serve through May 2027.

On Friday, September 11, 2026, the City of New Braunfels will hold a ceremony marking the anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks.

The event will begin at 7:25 a.m. and feature members of the New Braunfels Fire and Police Department, who will march from the downtown Central Fire Station on Hill Avenue to Main Plaza. The ceremony will begin at approximately 7:40 a.m.

The ceremony will include a flag-raising and lowering ceremony at 7:46 a.m., commemorating the time American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. The ceremony will also include an invocation, brief remarks from local dignitaries, and a bell ringing in memory of fallen first responders.

Traffic around Main Plaza will be closed beginning at approximately 7:15 a.m. Those attending the ceremony are encouraged to gather near the flagpole and bandstand.

La Ward, Texas. Benjamin Lee Faulk, 36, of New Braunfels, was changing a tire on a travel trailer along State Highway 172 when a passing vehicle struck him.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:56pm on September 7th. The driver kept going.

Troopers say two vehicles were seen pulling onto the northbound shoulder about 100 yards from the crash shortly after it happened, then leaving the area. Investigators haven't confirmed whether either was connected to the crash.

His girlfriend, Chelsea, was with him when he died.

She's since described the small, ordinary things that made up their life together. He drove to Trader Joe's just to bring her peonies. He folded the socks she hated pairing. He made dinner most nights, kept fresh flowers on the counter, and never let her open a door herself.

"You're the kind of guy I dreamt of my entire life," she wrote, "and was convinced I'd never find."

Leaving the scene of a fatal crash is a second-degree felony under Texas law. DPS is asking anyone who was near La Ward or traveling State Highway 172 around midday on September 7th to come forward with anything they saw.

This young man worked for the City of New Braunfels. Please help if you can. Tragic as he was very young man.

One of our Voss Farms families is facing a heartbreak that no family should ever have to endure.

On September 7th, Chelsea Williams lost someone she loved deeply, Benjamin Lee Faulk, 36, of New Braunfels, in a devastating hit-and-run crash on State Highway 172 near La Ward.

Chelsea has given me permission to share her story with our Voss Farms community because she is asking for our help.

Benjamin was changing a tire on a travel trailer when he was struck by a passing vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly before 1 p.m. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the vehicle involved left the scene, and investigators are working to identify it.

But this isn't just a news story to Chelsea.

This was someone she loved. Chelsea & Ben's father were with Benjamin in his final moments.

Chelsea is asking for our help getting the word out. The Texas Department of Public Safety is actively seeking information that could help identify the vehicle and driver involved.

You may not know Chelsea. You may not know Benjamin. You may not live near La Ward. But the person who has the information that could help may be connected to someone who sees this post.

Please don't assume your one share won't make a difference. It could.

One share could reach someone who recognizes the vehicle.
One share could help bring a family the answers they desperately need.

On Thursday, September 17, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at New Braunfels Municipal Court (550 Landa Street), the City of New Braunfels will host an educational program on alcohol awareness presented by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

This free session features a presentation on DWI/DUI and how alcohol affects the brain, providing insight into the real life consequences of impaired driving. Participants will also have the opportunity to participate in an interactive impairment-goggle activity.
