FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT THIS MORNING.....REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
counties, Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe.

* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 824 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing in the advisory
area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. Continue to heed road closures.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
San Antonio, New Braunfels, Schertz, Seguin, Cibolo,
Universal City, Selma, Canyon Lake Dam, Randolph AFB, Canyon
Lake, Fair Oaks Ranch, Bulverde, Garden Ridge, McQueeney,
Marion, Santa Clara, Staples, Smithson Valley, Spring Branch
and Timberwood Park.

Current Road Closures UPDATE 6/16/2026 @ 10:30am:

With the increased rain and continued forecasted rain roads may become impassable quickly. Road and Bridge crews are working quickly to get barricades to those roads. We will continue to update the list of road closures as the information is received.

thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of
1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

A Flood Watch is in effect for South Central Texas from 7 PM this evening through 7 PM Tuesday, June 16. Heavy rain and lightning are expected with isolated pockets of more than 8 inches of rain possible. This rain may fall quickly in torrential downpours. Life threatening flooding is possible somewhere within the Flood Watch area. Stay weather aware and remember: turn around, don't drown.

Just before 10 pm Tuesday night Lake Dunlap responded to a Structure Fire with possible entrapment on Leisure Village Dr.

Upon arrival it was discovered there were no entrapment and all occupants had exited the structure. One patient was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

Multiple departments responded to assist.

It took firefighters just under an hour to bring the fire under control. It took firefighters another 3 hours to fully extinguish.

Due to Leisure Village not being protected by fire hydrants, FM 725 was closed for approximately 2.5 hours. A 5” supply line was used to tie into a hydrant on the opposite side of the road.

Flood Watch from 9PM tonight through Friday evening.

* IMPACTS...There is a potential for LIFE-THREATENING flooding somewhere in the watch area. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches with isolated amounts of 6 inches possible for the duration of the Flood Watch.
