Subject: Spring Township Cleanup Days -
Friday April 10, 2026 8am-3pm
Saturday April 11, 2026 8am-11am
Eliza Township Board invites Eliza Township Residents to participate in Spring Cleanup Days. We have arranged for a large dumpster to be placed at the Eliza Township Community Center on April 10th and 11th for township residents to use free of charge to dispose of any acceptable materials during supervised hours.
The list of acceptable wastes would include:
Over stuffed furniture, mattresses, bedsprings, furniture, bicycles, car parts (rims, fenders), broken toys, kid's pools, old windows, used appliances (TV's, refrigerators, stove, air conditioners), etc. BE SURE TO EMPTY ALL FOOD WASTES FROM WHITE GOODS (FREEZERS & REFRIGERATORS).
The list of unacceptable wastes would include:
Insecticides, gasoline, chemicals, cleaning products, used motor oil, solvents, antifreeze, aerosol products, explosives, propane tanks, batteries, tires, yard waste (all IEPA landfill banned items) and household garbage (food wastes).
NOTICE: FREE DISPOSAL! For ALL WHITE GOOD UNITS (refrigerators, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, freezers, washers, dryers, microwaves, etc.).
All metal items will be collected for recycling and not go in the dumpster to the landfill (bicycles, exercise equipment, pots, pans, aluminum window frames, etc.).
Special Notice of New Services - separate collection Truck will be available for:
FREE Household paints: both late and oil based (stains).
DO NOT MIX PAINTS. Sorry, No solvents or thinners, JUST PAINT!
FREE Household electronics to be recycled: all computer systems, all cordless appliances, blenders, boom boxes, DVD players, food processors, fax machines, printers, radios, scanners, etc. INCLUDING TV's and Monitors.
PLEASE KEEP PAINT AND ELECTRONICS SEPARATE FROM REGULAR TRASH!
