September is Su***de Prevention & Awareness Month.

Sometimes, the people who need help the most are the ones who are the best at hiding it.
This month, we’re reminding our community that you don’t have to face a difficult moment alone. A simple conversation, a check-in, or letting someone know you’re there can make a difference.

If you’re struggling:
📞 Call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline
💬 Talk to someone you trust
🤝 Reach out for help — there is no shame in asking

If you’re worried about someone:
• Check in and ask how they’re really doing.
• Listen without judgment.
• Take signs of distress seriously.
• Help connect them with support.

You never know what someone may be carrying behind the scenes. Be the person who checks in. Be the person who listens. Be the reason someone knows they’re not alone.

It's hard to believe another school year is here! As students head back to the classroom, we want to wish all of our students, teachers, staff, and families a safe, successful, and exciting school year!

With school back in session, we also want to remind everyone that safety is a team effort.

🚌 School Bus Safety
- Slow down and stay alert around school buses and bus stops.
- Stop when a school bus has its red lights activated - no exceptions.
- Children should stay a safe distance from the roadway while waiting for the bus.
- Look both ways before crossing and follow the bus driver's instructions.

🚗 Driver Safety
- Expect extra traffic, pedestrians, bicycles, and school buses.
- Obey posted speed limits and use extra caution in school zones.
- Put the phone down. Seriously. It can wait.
- Give yourself extra time and please remember that getting there 30 seconds faster isn't worth putting someone at risk.

Let’s all do our part to make sure our students get to school safely and make it home safely every day.

Happy National Dog Day to our OG K9, Eclipse! 🐾🚔

Eclipse has been with New Boston PD since 2023 and has held a special place in our hearts ever since. We are proud to have a strong partnership with New Boston Space Force Station which granted us the opportunity to bring K9 Eclipse on as a part of our team. K9 Eclipse is specially trained in munitions detection and has completed several different certifications making him an asset to NBPD. We can't forget to mention his incredibly goofy personality and his love for working.

On National Dog Day, we celebrate all pups so give your furry friends some extra scratches and treats today!

We’re excited to share that our School Supplies Drive was a success! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our New Boston community, we were able to collect supplies and deliver them to New Boston Central School just in time for the Meet the Teacher event for the upcoming school year.

If your student could use a few additional school supplies, the supplies are available for families to pick up at NBCS. Whether you forgot an item, need a few extras, or could simply use a little help getting ready for the school year, please don’t hesitate to take what you need.

These supplies will help make sure students have the tools they need to start the school year ready to learn—and we couldn’t have done it without everyone who donated!

A special thank you to New Boston Recreation for serving as a second drop-off location and helping us collect an incredible assortment of school supplies and backpacks! Your support made a huge difference, and we’re so grateful to have you as part of this community effort!

Originally graduating from the 171st Class of the New Hampshire Police Standards and Training Academy, he began his career right here in New Boston. Every day, Sgt. Sullivan embodies the true spirit of a dedicated public servant, and we're honored to have him in our department and community!
