Scioto County Aspire Scioto County Aspire provides FREE educational services for adults. The individual also may be seeking employment or career advancement.

Adult Education

Scioto County Aspire program offers free day and evening classes for adult learners. These classes help adults upgrade their academic skills in the following areas:

GED Preparation
GED (General Educational Development) offers adults a second chance to complete their high school education. Official GED Practice Test

Academic Enrichment

This component is for adults who plan to ta

ke a college, technical school, apprenticeship or other training entrance exam. Instruction is available to all adults regardless of their educational background (may already have a diploma or GED). Scioto County Aspire classes are offered at the following locations:

New Boston @ South Central Ohio Educational Service Center
Portsmouth @ Shawnee State University

What a tremendous story we have to share with you! One of our vocational plumbing residents, Mr. Sherman, completed all of the requirements to achieve the State of Ohio High School diploma!

Along with his diploma, Mr. Sherman received the OSHA 10, NCCER Core, and NCCER Level 1 Plumbing certifications!
