Update from the Highway Department:
Road Work/Paving Planned
Week of June 15, 2026

Days of the week are not guaranteed, but the order of paving work will remain as follows:

Day 1 = Bedford Road: from Wilson Hill to McCurdy
Day 2 = Gregg Mill & Meadow Road
Day 3 = 2nd NH Turnpike (new section only) & Hopkins Road

-Work is subject to change depending on weather and other unforeseen circumstances
-Your Highway crew members will be working along these roads to prepare for the paving process.
-The paving company will be R&D Paving, they were awarded the bid through the RFP process that transpired in April 2026.
-The flaggers on-site are contracted through R&D paving, so they are NOT our crew members
-IMPORTANT: The paving company will be out on these roads grinding joints at all paved driveways along the path of planned paving work. This is to ensure that the new pavement aligns with the existing driveway.

The Select Board would like to recognize Assistant Fire Chief Cliff Plourde for 45 years of service to the Town of New Boston. Cliff has been a part of the New Boston Fire Department since June 1st, 1981. It is a tremendous amount of giving back to the Town that anyone could ever ask for. I’m sure in those 45 years you’ve pretty much seen it all, the good and the bad.
Cliff has been in a leadership role with the department for many years. And I have personally worked with him on a few projects with the town. He’s a dedicated and true leader for New Boston. We offer nothing but the best for you and your future endeavors and want to thank you for your service to the town.

- Select Board Chair, Bill McFadden

The New Boston Fire Department invites residents to attend a ceremony to honor and celebrate Assistant Fire Chief Plourde’s years of dedication and service.

Wednesday, June 3rd at 6pm @ the New Fire Station - 63 Mont Vernon Rd. Following the ceremony everyone is invited to Molly’s Tavern for refreshments and fellowship.
