What a night! ✨🎭

Several of our Student Veterans of America members attended the Craven Community College Gold and White Masquerade Ball on Friday, April 26, at the Riverfront Convention Center, and they represented SVA beautifully.

They showed up, dressed up, and made our organization look good—not just because they looked sharp, but because they brought the same spirit of service, leadership, and camaraderie that makes SVA such an important part of our campus community.

We are proud to have students who support one another, participate in campus life, and remind everyone that veterans, military-connected students, and their supporters continue to make Craven Community College stronger.

A wonderful evening with wonderful people! 💛🤍🎭

Craven Community College Student Veterans of America observed National Military Brats Day on April 30 by encouraging students, faculty, and staff to wear purple in support of military-connected children and families. 💜

National Military Brats Day, founded in 2016 by Military Brats, Inc., honors the children of military personnel for their sacrifices, resilience, and unique upbringing. Often described as a “hidden service,” military children may move frequently, attend many different schools, and sometimes live in multiple countries while developing a shared culture of adaptability, strength, and pride.

Purple represents all branches of the military and serves as a meaningful symbol of unity and appreciation. Thank you to everyone who wore purple to show support for military children and families in the Craven CC community and beyond. 💜
