Vecino Verde is a federally recognized 501(c)3 faith based non-profit organization. We strive to make sure our communities are a better place to work, live, and raise a family. Our members range in age from eight to eighty plus.

Would like to send out a huge thank you to all who helped by donating time, money, equipment, services, and allowing us to bring kids to your businesses or facilities that they may see and experience some of the best New Bern and surrounding areas have to offer. As you can see in the pictures posted here, the children had a wonderful time. The 694th Maintenance Company, North Carolina Army National Guard, NC Forestry Service, NC Wildlife and Cool Springs Environmental Education Center, Walk This Way Stables, Carolina East EMS, New Bern Fire Rescue, The Veterans' Organic Garden, United States Navy, Coastal Carolina Regional Airport, and Family Outreach Ministries of New Bern were instrumental giving back to our community and our children. We have the following people to thank for their help as well as they gave of their time and energy: the staff of Chick-fil-A of New Bern for providing food, Clifford Dumarce and family (Native American Dance family), Fire Fighter-Phil Buffa (bagpipper), HM1 Shawn Scott, HM3 Ryan Brongil, HM1 Stephen Edmunds, LT Amanda Fortuna, Jason Thomas, Angela Wilson, Carol Williams, Jordan Williams, Jamie Gaskins, and Celeste Arrington. It took a lot of people to give 27 kids a week of fun.
